About the photo: Macro shot of a beautifully coloured, pink cornflower isolated on a black background. The native British variety is blue (Centaurea Cyanus) and was a troublesome weed to farmers, but other colours, such as this pink, have been created and they are all appreciated as garden flowers and loved by wildlife.
